Top 6 Desktop Browsers in China in 2014

According to StatCounter, Chrome led desktop browser market in China with 52.62% market share, followed by Internet Explorer with only 23.13% market share.


Almost most computers in China are on Windows XP, contributing a lot to Internet Explorer adoptions. As Microsoft ended support for IE on Windows XP in April 2014 while Google continued support for Chrome on Windows XP, you can see the decreasing market share of IE in China since April 2014 while market share of Chrome kept increasing.

QQ Browser, UC Browser and Baidu Browser are the top 3 mobile browsers with 40.6%, 35.2%, and 22.9% market share respectively by total number of user reach in China in Q4 2014 according to EnfoDesk.
